What
Neck Pain, Arm pain or tingling, Elbow Pain, Wrist/Hand pain or tingling, Headaches, Sinus Problems, Allergies, Dizziness, Vertigo, TMJ, Eye Pain, Tinnitus
These are all problems that can be associated with misalignments of the neck (cervical) vertebra as well as issues with the TMJ (Jaw joint). Misalignments of the neck, also called subluxations, affect the nerves that come from the brain between these vertebra, and to go (innervate) the arms as well as the head and the face. Pressure on these nerves from the misaligned vertebra can cause pain, tingling or numbness down the arms all the way to the fingers in severe cases. Sinus issues, mild to severe headaches and dizziness can also be caused by neck problems. If part or all of the vertebral joint is not moving correctly, then nutrients may not be able to get into the joint surfaces allowing wastes to build up which leads to destructive osteoarthritis.
Treatment We Offer
Chiropractic – our doctors can specifically re-align the vertebra of the neck to treat the cause of neck pain, headaches, sinus pressure and dizziness. Sometimes muscle work on the surrounding muscles can add to a more permanent correction of the problem. Traction may also be used to relieve tension and take pressure off affected nerves. Our doctors are also well versed in rehabilitative exercises and teach ways to be ergonomic to help the problem at home and, once heal, avoid it from returning.
Restorative/Regenerative Services – Trigger Point therapy had been shown to be highly effective in relieving headaches, it can also help chiropractic adjustments to hold longer
Intranasal ‘TX 360’ injections have proven to help with chronic and severe migraines
There are several different natural treatments that our Nurse Practitioner uses to restore normal joint mobility and positive affect the arthritis of the joint structures.
Therapeutic Massage – Specific myofascial massage can alleviate neck pain, headaches, sinus issues and dizziness by releasing adhesions or scar tissue in the affected muscles of the neck, jaw and face.
Rehab – Electric Stimulation, cryotherapy, traction and decompression can help with muscle and disc problems in the neck.
